Moser, Koloman

Koloman Moser (b. 30 March 1868, d. 18 October 1918)

A Viennese artist and graphic designer, Moser was a key member of both the Vienna Secession movement and the Wiener Werkstätte, which he also
co-founded (along with such people as Gustav Klimt & Josef Hoffmann).
As part of the idealistic groups he was part of he worked on the
creation of new and improved objects for everyday life, from stamps to
tablewear to jewelry. The collective’s overall aim was to create an
ideal for for all art and design work to follow, a ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’
or total artwork.
